FinSec* to Fintech: Closing open source software’s security gaps

Chief Wine Officer Presents a C-level Networking Dinner:

FinSec* to Fintech: Closing open source software’s security gaps

Thursday 23rd May from 6.15pm
The Walbrook Club 37A Walbrook, London EC4N 8BS
Guest speaker: Paul Farrington, Veracode

Master of Wine: Peter McCombie
What’s on the agenda

Chief Wine Officer and Veracode invite you to join us for an evening of business discussion around open source software and security, C-level networking, fine dining and premium wine tasting.

The financial services industry has some of the most mature cyber security practices. However, many institutions are increasingly leveraging open source software to compete and collaborate with fintechs. That’s fine in theory, but in practice it’s happening at unprecedented speed and scope. The result? Accelerating open source and third-party development is creating opportunities and new risks for financial services security leaders.

Join a select group of senior executives to:

  • discuss how to find and fix these threats – while enabling business transparency, transformation and innovation
  • gain open source-focused ideas and strategies for creating secure software – and ensuring any bought software is free of vulnerabilities
  • explore ways to stay compliant when open source is used in digital payment applications and processes

Alongside the high-level business content, you’re invited to connect with other senior executives over a four-course gourmet dinner. This includes a fine wine tasting experience, hosted by a Master of Wine (one of just 383 in the world), and includes wine-related entertainment, education and friendly competition.
