Alastair Lukies CBE, Fintech Extraordinaire

Alastair has a proven track record of turning visions and concepts into real businesses. He founded Monitise, in which three years later was recognised as a ‘Technology Pioneer’ by the World Economic Forum and in June 2007. He is the sole Business Ambassador for the financial services industry by the UK Government and Non-Executive Chairman of FinTech industry body, Innovate Finance. Alastair was awarded a CBE for services to mobile banking and charity in June 2014, and was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2011 Growing Business Awards.

An award-winning writer, broadcaster and author, Jane Parkinson will be presiding over the evening. Adding Master of Wine (MW) to her many accolades, the highest, toughest, and most prestigious wine qualification.

One of only 384 MWs in the world, Jane has previously hosted Saturday Kitchen Live, frequently judging at international wine competitions and has been at the Chair of Judges for the national sommelier and chef (food and wine matching) competition, the Rising Stars Trophy.
