Dr Charlie Gardner is a conservation scientist and Senior Associate Lecturer at the University of Kent’s Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology. He has a long history of volunteering and groundbreaking conservation work, including helping NGOs establish nature reserves co-managed by local communities, and preserving endangered species of birds from the brink of extinction in Mauritius.
